Frequently asked questions

SMP Scalp Micropigmentation

Pre-Treatment:

  • Hair Preparation: Please come to your appointment with washed, clean and dry hair, no hair products applied. This is very important.

  • Medication: You may take Panadol 1-2 hours before your appointment. Do NOT take any anti-inflammatory NSAID medications (such as Nurofen, THC) or blood-thinning tablets (such as Aspirin).

  • Dietary Restrictions: Avoid alcohol and caffeine intake within 24-48 hours of your appointment.

Aftercare Instructions:

Proper aftercare is crucial to ensure long-lasting, natural results:

  • Sun Protection: Keep out of direct sunlight for 28 days after treatment. After that, use SPF 30–50 sunscreen regularly.

  • Avoid Water & Heat: Do not swim, or use saunas or steam rooms for 28 days following your final treatment.

  • Exercise: Avoid heavy exercise for five days after your final session.

  • Moisturising: Begin regularly moisturising the treated area after the fourth day following your final treatment. This is also important between treatments.

    1. Avoid touching or scratching the scalp

    • During the first week, do not touch, pick, or scratch the treated area, even if it feels itchy. This prevents infection and pigment loss.

    2. Avoid washing the scalp too soon

    • No washing or shampooing for the first 3–4 days after the treatment. After this, gently wash with mild, fragrance-free shampoo.

    3. Avoid harsh hair products

    • Avoid hair sprays, gels, or any products containing alcohol or chemicals for at least 2 weeks, as these can affect pigment retention.

    4. Avoid shaving with a razor immediately after treatment

    • You can use a clipper, but avoid a razor on treated areas until fully healed to prevent irritation.

    5. Avoid sleeping on the treated area

    • For the first 2–3 nights, try to avoid putting direct pressure on the treated scalp while sleeping.

    6. Avoid tanning or tanning beds

    • Direct UV exposure can fade the pigment quickly, so avoid tanning beds during the healing period.

    7. Avoid exfoliating or chemical treatments

    • No chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or exfoliating treatments on the scalp for at least 4–6 weeks.

    8. Stay hydrated and maintain healthy skin

    • Well-hydrated skin heals better and retains pigment longer.

    9. Touch-ups

    • Most clients benefit from a touch-up session 6–10 weeks after the initial treatment to perfect density and blending.

Following these guidelines will help your SMP Scalp Micro Pigmentation heal properly, maintain pigment retention, and ensure a natural, flawless finish.

Cosmetic Tattoo (Eyebrows, Eyes & Lips)

Pre-Treatment:

  • Medication: You may take Panadol 1-2 hours before your appointment. Do NOT take any anti-inflammatory NSAID medications (such as Nurofen, THC) or blood-thinning tablets (such as Aspirin).

  • Dietary Restrictions: Avoid alcohol and caffeine intake within 24-48 hours of your appointment.

Aftercare Instructions:

Immediate Care:

  • Keep the area clean and dry for the first 24 hours.

  • Avoid touching, scratching, or picking at the treated area.

Days 1–7:

  • The treated area may scab, flake, or peel. Allow scabs to fall off naturally to avoid pigment loss or scarring.

  • Avoid excessive moisture, including swimming, saunas, steam rooms, or heavy sweating.

  • Avoid direct sunlight, tanning beds, or UV exposure.

  • Sleep carefully: Avoid putting pressure on treated brows, eyes, or lips while sleeping.

  • Makeup: Avoid applying makeup on the treated area for the first 7 days.

  • Healing variability: Some areas may retain pigment better than others — this is completely normal.

Days 7–14:

  • The treated area may appear slightly lighter than expected — this is normal. Pigment will settle over the next few weeks.

  • Begin gentle moisturising with the aftercare cream provided.

Long-Term Care:

  • Protect the area with SPF 30–50 sunscreen to prevent fading from UV exposure.

  • Avoid harsh chemical treatments, exfoliation, or retinol products directly on the treated area for at least 4 weeks.

  • Avoid using products with alcohol or abrasive ingredients directly on the treated area during the healing period.

Following these instructions will help ensure even healing, beautiful colour retention, and natural results. Touch-ups after 4–6 weeks allow for perfect finishing, so you leave with the flawless, personalised look you desire.

Plasma Skin Tightening

Pre-Treatment:

  • Medication: You may take Panadol 1-2 hours before your appointment. Do NOT take any anti-inflammatory NSAID medications (such as Nurofen, THC) or blood-thinning tablets (such as Aspirin).

  • Dietary Restrictions: Avoid alcohol and caffeine intake within 24-48 hours of your appointment.

Healing Process

Days 1–4

  • Mild swelling may occur — this is completely normal.

  • Small crusts may form on the treated area.
Important: Do not pick at the crusts, as this can cause scarring. Allow them to fall off naturally.

Days 5–10

  • Crusts will naturally shed, leaving the area slightly pink and sensitive.

  • Follow a dry healing process for optimal results. If the area becomes extremely dry, use the recommended aftercare products.

Days 7–30

  • Slight redness may remain and can easily be covered with mineral-based makeup.

Up to 6 months

  • To protect your newly treated skin, apply a high SPF sunscreen daily to prevent sun damage and ensure long-lasting results.
